Melanie Abrantes Designs is a Bay Area-based design studio and purveyor of handcrafted, heirloom objects. Working with a variety of unique materials, predominantly cork and wood, Melanie creates high-quality products and home goods that are both beautiful and functional. All cork pieces are handmade in our Oakland studio through the process of lathing. Each piece starts as a solid block and is hand-turned to create bowls, vases, planters and anything else she can dream up.
